“Becoming the competent player”
Monday 6.30pm to 7.30pm
The aim of our adult beginner sessions is to help improve player’s foundations in tennis whilst playing the game. This is heavily focussed on technique and controlling the ball outcome in a variety of drills and tactical situations.
“Developing the competent competitor”
Monday 7.30 to 8.30pm
The aim of these sessions are aimed at developing your game in competitive situations and drills. The core focus will be on increasing your understanding around the tactical game plan, decision making and shot execution / selection within pressure situations.
Off Peak Member Session
“Understanding all areas of the game”
Wednesday 12.30pm to 1.30pm
This session is for off peak tennis members and is focused on tactical development and becoming a better match player through technical improvements.
“Skills and Drills in a social environment”
Friday 11am to 12pm
This session is focused on doubles tactical developments and includes a refreshment with the coach after. You can expect to be focusing on doubles specific drills, including playing to targets, developing net skills, and working as a team. Individual’s players are given specific technical information to help increase success in achieving the task/drill.
“Are you the toughest competitor you can be?”
This session is aimed at higher club level players and team players who are competing regularly. Our overall goal is to develop tougher competitors who are able to make clear and concise decisions when faced with pressure situations, whilst developing the skills to put their opponents under more pressure.
“Get fit while having a Hit workout”
Thursday 11.00am – 12.00pm
Cardio tennis is a session open to all adult tennis members and is suitable for players of all levels. The aim of the session is to work hard have fun and burn calories. The session is run in the sports hall (to music) and is a coach fed and led session so all attending will get a great workout.
“Learn the game in 6 weeks”
Through the 6 weeks we will cover the basics shots in tennis – forehand, backhand, serve, volley and smash. This session will also incorporate scoring, rules, doubles and singles match play.
Social Mix In
“Meet, greet and compete”
Wednesday 6.00-9.00pm, Saturday & Sunday 2.00-5.00pm
The mix-in sessions are open to all full members and are designed to get members to meet others and doubles play takes priority. There is a member of the coaching team allocated to these sessions to help organise the games.
“Together Everyone Achieves More”
These sessions are for players of the relevant level, intending to play in the teams and are based on drills and tactics for both singles and doubles involving match play practice. If you would like to be considered for the teams please contact the Men’s and Ladies’ Team Representatives.
