Men’s 5s

End of Season Report 2015-16

Wimbledon Men's 5th XI could quite easily have a 100% record this season if only the second half of each match counted. Consistency was the one of the biggest challenges with numerous changes to the midfield week on week, leading to the team requiring at least the first half to build some flowing hockey. That frustration aside, there were many second halves of magic which meant there were times where a top 4 finish looked promising.

Oliver Sampson lead the score board with 18 goals for the 5s and junior Freddie Gough most improved scoring 2 on his debut the 5s. Special thank you to Charlie King for his role as vice captain through the season and the team wishes him well as he relocates out in Wales.

Fitness and midfield recruiting over the off season should see the Wimbledon 5s fighting a little closer to the top of the table! Thank you to all the 36 individuals who played for the 5s over the season.
