Cricket Facilities

The Wimbledon Club facilities used by the different sections of the Club (Hockey, Cricket, Squash and Tennis) include a 9 acre site off Church Road comprising a cricket pitch and 4 Astroturf practice nets, 1 grass hockey pitch, 7 grass tennis courts and 8 hard tennis courts (artificial clay and acrylic - 5 floodlit), 5 squash courts (4 glass backed), an indoor sports hall which is used for tennis, cricket and hockey, and a recently upgraded fitness suite.

The Clubhouse, which opened in April 1998, has a first floor bar and restaurant with balconies overlooking the tennis courts and cricket / hockey pitches. There are extensive changing rooms and showers, plus a mixed sauna.

Opening Times: (please note these are subject to change for Bank Holidays)

Clubhouse: Monday to Saturday: 7am – 11pm;   Sunday and Bank Holidays: 7am – 10pm

Bar:  Open for pastries, hot and cold drinks daily from 9am

Restaurant:  Tuesday to Friday: 7pm to 10pm,  Saturday: 12 noon to 9 pm,  Sunday: 12 noon to 4pm (Last orders 10 minutes before closing.)

1st Ground:

By Car: From the M25, take the A3 north coming off at Tibbetts Corner roundabout, which is the A219 intersection. Take the A219 towards Wimbledon. Turn Left just under a mile along the A219 into Queensmere Road, and continue to the end where you turn right into Church Road, the club is on the left opposite the main gate of the All England Club.

By Public Transport: The Tube, District Line, Southfields Station, walk 600 yards in the direction of The All England Lawn Tennis Club, along Wimbledon Park Road, and the club is on the left opposite the All England Clubs main gate.


2nd Ground:

Shewsbury House, Almshouse Lane, Shewsbury

By car: From A3, take the exit toward Dorking / L'head/A243/A24. Merge onto Hook Rise (southbound). At roundabout, take the second exit to continue south on the Leatherhead Rd. After 0.7 miles, turn right into Almshouse Lane.  Continue until you reach Shewsbury House on the right.
